Larry Ameche
Larry Ameche passed away September 17, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 45
years, Marilyn, son, Michael, daughter-in-law, Karri and loving granddaughters,
Sydney and Anabelle. During the golden era of flying, Larry started working for
Trans World Airlines (TWA) as a skycap in San Francisco. People skills and a
winning smile got him inside the terminal. In 1975 Larry received a promotion
and was transferred to Kansas City (MCI) where he and Marilyn lived in Overland
Park. Larry started coordinating travel for the Kansas City Royals and later the
Chiefs. Larry loved traveling with the Royals and Chiefs and followed sports
closely. After retirement in 2002, Larry started working for Johnson County
Community College. He could be found working the check in desk at the gym or a
scoreboard during an athletic event - continuing with JCCC for over a decade.
Join us at 11 a.m. Sat., Sept. 26, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W.
103rd St., Overland Park, KS 66214, to remember Larry.
