Robert Montgomery

ROBERT N. MONTGOMERY Born in San Francisco May 1, 1947, Bob departed peacefully for Heaven on September 20, 2017, surrounded by his family at home, as he wished. Always at Bob's side was his wife of fifty years, Janie. They have two wonderful sons, Matthew (Annemarie) of the Netherlands, and Josh (Amanda) of Chico. Six grandchildren, who brought him enormous joy, will remember his loving and kind ways as well. His sister Donna shared his passion for his furry family, who also brought him happiness on their many walks in the redwoods. A lifelong advocate of education, Bob pursued his own, earning a Ph. D. in Human and Organizational Systems from The Fielding Institute. In the long span of his career, he worked for TWA, AMD, and Lockheed Martin as an Organization Development executive. Most recently he was an adjunct professor in the College of Business at Chico State. A Mass will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Our Divine Savior Catholic Church in Chico at 1pm. Donations may be sent to Muttville in San Francisco, the Marin Humane Society, or Torre's Shelter in Chico. Share your thoughts online at NewtonBracewell.com.

A message form Robert's wife Janie

Hi Judi

>>>>>>> He passed on September 20th ...................   We have lived in Chico the past 7 years to be near grandchildren and a more affordable area.   Bob taught at Chico State in the business school after his retirement from Lockheed Martin.   He had earned a PhD in the late 80's and was a mentor to many  many people along the way.   Always brave and very good natured he never complained about his health or asked for anything special.   He remained engaged with his students until just before he died and always a fun and humorous Opa to six grandchildren.    Raise a toast to him at the luncheon.   TWA was certainly a big part of his life and mine.

My best,   Janie Montgomery
