Jesse Hikoichi Tao
Feb. 23, 1936 – May 28, 2021
Santa Clara, CA
Jesse Hikoichi Tao, 85, passed away peacefully in the presence of his wife,
Hisako Tao of 61 years.
Jesse was born in Honolulu, HI. After serving in the US Air Force, he moved to
Los Angeles to study aviation mechanics. Upon completing his studies, Jesse
joined Trans World Airlines where he worked as an aircraft mechanic until he
retired after over 35 years of service.
Jesse was predeceased by his brothers Harry, Henry, Fred, and John and sister
in-law, Joanne Tao. Jesse is survived by his wife, Hisako; son, Rodney;
daughter, Caroline; son-in-law Hewitt Ryan; grandson, Tomoya Ryan;
granddaughter, Izumi Ryan; sister, Alice Watanabe; sisters in-law, Betsy Tao and
Janet Tao; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The Tao family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the
entire medical and supportive care team at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical
Center, Delia's Residential Community, Bonita Springs Hospice, Willow Glen
Funeral Home, and the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin for their kindness and
care.
