Billie Tweed

I received the following from Bob Goetz regarding the passing of SFO’s Billie Tweed. He also learned that A&P Mechanic Marty Martinez had recently suffered a stroke and is in a rehab facility.

All.
A few updates on folks that I was recently made aware of.  Just learned that Billie Tweed, assistant to Jerry Pascarella and later working for Joe Demps, passed away last Tuesday night in Las Vegas where she lived in a assisted living facility.  I'm waiting to get more information from her family but believe her passing might have been Covid related. Billie was 96 and just an amazing person to be around.   Always a smile on her face and a positive attitude no matter what. When she was in the area we would meet with her for a lunch or pick her up to take her to one of our Ambassadors club events.  Spoke with her a week and a half ago and she was sharp and fiesty as ever.  Kay Haliwell spoke with her last weekend and all she was focused on was getting the pandemic over with so she could get Kay to take her to the casino's to do a little gambling. She was a amazing lady who will be greatly missed.

Hope everyone is finally getting their vaccinations and staying safe out there.

Bob

I’m sorry to have to inform folks that I was notified that Billie Tweed, 95, passed away this last Tuesday, February 23rd. Evidently, she passed peacefully during the evening.  Per her wishes, her remains have been cremated and will be scattered at sea by the Neptune Society.  Due to Covid restrictions, no funeral services are planned at this time, but the family may do a rememberance celebration, at a later date.  Cards and notes can be sent to the family care of her son.
